WELCOME TO KINDERGARTEN!
I am thrilled and honored, to be teaching Kindergarten once again this year. The 2023/2024 school year marks my nineteenth year as a classroom teacher, and my thirteenth year as a Kindergarten teacher, here at wonderful PCK. Prior to staying home with our three children, I taught Kindergarten for three years, as well as 1st Grade for three years. While home, I enjoyed being a mom most of all, but also substitute teaching K-2, and tutoring emergent readers ages 4-6. Twenty eight years ago this spring, I married my husband after obtaining my B.A. in English from the University of Colorado. While in my second year of teaching, I attended the University of Denver where I earned my Masters degree in Elementary Literacy Instruction. My husband and I love to spend our weekends outdoors with our great kids.....enjoying time at our barn & rodeo events and hiking & fishing in the mountains when we can get away. I enjoy Paddle boarding, kayaking, outdoor projects, reading, and I relish any opportunity to slow down and journal (the old fashioned way.....with paper and pen)!
I am looking so forward to getting to know you and your child, as we embark on this tremendously exciting, and joyous journey together. Kindergarten is truly one of the most remarkable times in your child's life. It's going to be a great year!
